Ian Longbottom and Martin Kirk form the backbone of this new fabrication business.
Previously working together over several years, the two developed the UK’s first PVC patio door, PVC and aluminium bi-folding doors with PAS 24 Security accreditation.
With excellent pedigrees, the former Chairman and Managing Director of Sliders UK, along with its former Production Director, found another ideal board member and active director in Tony McHale. Known to many as the owner of AM Machinery Services (window machinery sales and maintenance), Tony is a giant in his field with solid relationships throughout the UK and abroad.
Thanks to Tony, the company started production with an impressive stable of highly accurate and reliable machinery – the new fabrication set up boasted an SBZ150 machining centre and a DG142 saw, both from Elumatec. Since then the business has added a second SBZ150 machining centre, a DG144 multi-angle saw along with many more machine accessories to enable production to double and produce more complex items.
Choosing supplier partners was easy for the team. Having considerable experience in bi-fold door production, it made sense to work with a leading supplier in this market – Debar. The Debar story is impressive and the Company is constantly improving their Dewall system. Cortizo was similarly a logical choice, being a progressive extruder who has also further developed the system and its extrusions.
